“Oh, baby, oh, BABY!”
There are few things more special than celebrating a new mom-to-be and her anticipated bundle of joy- showering them with love, genuine excitement, and anxious enthusiasm.

However, sometimes things don’t always work out as you plan them. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, our mommy-to-be was not allowed to travel to her own baby shower. But hey- isn’t that the epitome of having kids…of living life?! BUT things in life DO have a way of working out. The next best person was able to make it to the shower- “the MAN behind the bump.” It was a one-of-a-kind baby shower and even though it didn’t work out exactly as planned…it ended up being pretty dang wonderful. (Mommy still got to be virtually present due to the lovely technology of the 21st Century.)
We designed the baby shower space, located at Buzzard Creek Primitives, to celebrate a baby GIRL on her way. PINK was not left by the wayside. A circular lounge seating area was complete with a variety of pink vintage and antique furniture. No detail was left unturned. Vintage plates, gold flatware, linen lace napkins, and fresh pink Iris added those extra special touches.
Guests were welcomed with a Mimosa Bar, a variety of quiches, and a most beautiful dessert bar. Chocolate, being the mommy-to-be’s favorite- was a hero of the day. A pink ombre chocolate cake took center stage, along with chocolate cupcakes in vintage tea sets and an assortment of macarons.
Not often does a father-to-be have the unique opportunity to be the center of attention on a day like this one. Placed center stage in a PINK vintage chair, the “MAN behind the bump” took it all in stride. There were many, many laughs…some happy tears, and more laughs. “A nipple holder, what?!?” But the most important goal of the day was successfully achieved- to celebrate the upcoming arrival of Baby Thornton, and shower her in love. We couldn’t be more excited for the growing Thornton Family. Thank you for inviting us to be a part of your special day, celebrating your baby girl. We can’t wait to meet her. XOXO
