Sean + Emmy’s Lakeside Wisconsin Wedding

“Run wild…until you find someone just as wild to run with.”

The Love Story

For a couple that has lived and traveled across the world, adventure has definitely not been lacking. Just to list a FEW: bungee jumping, skydiving, and rafting in New Zealand; trekking across South America; kayaking the entire Mississippi River; working as adventure guides in Alaska and throughout many of the U.S. National Park systems. The list goes on and on.  You get the point.

So, it only made sense that the place they would celebrate their marriage, was back where it all started. This place being a small Wisconsin wedding, home to the groom’s family.

However, no adventure up until this point, seemed as monumental to both Sean and Emmy, as the day they promised to forever share the rest of their lives with one another. It is said that, “love is life’s greatest adventure”, and no two people better exemplify this belief than Sean and Emmy.  Their shared passion for living life to the fullest and respecting one another’s desire to live life to the beat of their own drum, is something to be admired.

Bride and Groom at Camp Alexander

Wedding Party

The Big Day

The venue Camp Alexander, was the perfect fit for this outdoor loving couple.  The site was a private lakeside camp in the groom’s hometown.  The outdoor ceremony was set beneath giant pine trees.  Surrounded by their closest friends and family in Central Wisconsin, Sean and Emmy each tied a knot into rock climbing ropes (naturally fitting) as a sign of their forever commitment to each other.

And just as the sprinkles turned to rain, authentic laughter and excitement broke out.  The celebration of the newly married couple was underway.

The Details

The reception took place at the camp’s lodge overlooking a most scenic lake.  Personal touches that reflected the couple’s adventurous nature could be seen throughout the décor and flow of the evening.  Centerpieces were a mix of vintage animal planters, colored glassware, and rustic elements from the outdoors. Signage and guest favors were created on pieces of wood by Stonewood Rentals and Events and rocks found by the couple along their various trips and adventures.

Genuine laughter, happy tears, and “one-of-a-kind” dance moves were in abundance throughout the evening.  Whether guests gathered on the lodge’s sprawling deck, or fireside with s’mores and a whiskey, the goal to celebrate Sean and Emmy’s special union was at the center of the entire weekend.

For Sean and Emmy, their adventures led them directly to one another.  And with one another, is exactly where they both belong.

We wish you both a lifetime of love, amazing adventures, and living life to the fullest. (May we live vicariously through you both!)

xoxo, Stonewood
