I’ve often heard that “laughter is the shortest distance between two people.” We love a couple with a sense of humor, and when a bride and groom find their best friend in each other. No two people better exemplify this than Kelly and Kevin. Kelly and Kevin got married on a private ranch in Ridgway, Colorado, surrounded by their closest friends and family.

We had the pleasure of being a part of Kelly and Kevin’s special day.  Intimate, cozy, and casual elegance was the inspiration for design. The entire day was beautifully captured by the ever talented Kimberly Weber Photography.

The intimate wedding ceremony took place on the ranch’s front lawn. Towering aspen and oak trees surrounded the entire property, and the majestic San Juan Mountains could be seen in the distance. To create a cozy and welcoming feel, guests entered through an arbor made of old doors.  We created lounge style seating with an array of vintage couches, chairs, and end tables. The bride and groom exchanged vows with our white mantle as the ceremony backdrop.

It is truly music to my ears when I hear a couple wanting to incorporate family heirlooms into their special day. I was beyond excited to hear that Kelly wanted to use her grandmother’s china for the dinner reception. Incorporating such meaningful elements on a day of momentous occasion, is truly a beautiful way to celebrate family, love, and years past.

Love truly poured out of every aspect of the day, and laughter could well be heard late into the evening. We wish Kelly & Kevin a long life full of laughter, adventures, much love…and more laughter. <3
