Sarah and Adam got married this past June at Harmel’s Ranch Resort, outside of Crested Butte, Colorado.  Having met through mutual friends, it was only appropriate that those closest to the couple, would be there to celebrate and share in their special day. As two Colorado natives, Sarah and Adam knew they wanted to tie the knot somewhere that was not only beautiful, but meaningful to both of them.  Crested Butte is one of those areas in Colorado that is a bit more remote- left a little bit more untouched than other mountain towns in Colorado.  So, being just outside of cell phone service, and set along the Taylor River, it could not have been a more beautiful day for a wedding.

Sarah and Adam wanted a vintage literary themed wedding, where the details of the day would tell a story and be a reflection of the things they hold most dear. To name a few: old family photos, favorite recipes from both Sarah and Adam’s grandmothers, signature cocktails celebrating their engagement, favorite quotes, and special family heirlooms.

The wedding reception was set amidst giant pine trees, quaint cabins, and the flowing Taylor River.  Following the literary theme, guests were greeted with a letter from the bride and groom in an antique typewriter, tables were designed with vintage books and favorite love quotes of the newly married couple.  Blue enamel dinnerware not only complemented the venue and decor, but fit most appropriately to the bride and groom’s love for the outdoors and adventure.
